Workers and residents in the Finnish capital Helsinki seek shade as the Nordic country experiences an unusual heatwave. Finland's Meteorological Institute issued a heat warning on Monday and has said that temperatures are due to surge above 27 degrees Celsius from Tuesday. According to meteorologists, the current temperatures are around ten degrees Celsius above average temperatures for May, with scientists explaining that recurring heatwaves are a clear marker of global warming.
