The first day of the World Summit AI for Good opens in Geneva where key players are exploring topics such as how generative AI are already speeding up efforts to solve some of the world's most pressing problems, such as climate change, hunger and social care. "The main purpose of this summit, is to explore how the AI solutions can help sustainable development" says says Tomas Lamanauskas, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, adding that "risks of misinformation or disinformation" and bias are also being addressed by the sector.
