Description
Some animals, thin and weak, circle their cages, while others, including a giraffe, a lioness and five zebras, have died from lack of care and food. Abandonment and malnutrition threaten the 200 animals in a Honduran zoo installed by Los Cachiros cartel bosses in 2010 and later seized by a public administration with no expertise in managing such places.
