The narrow streets of Binibeca Vell, a small Menorcan village nestling in a cove of turquoise waters, are visited by almost 800,000 tourists every year, much to the dismay of residents who feel overwhelmed by the photo-hungry visitors. Local authorities have resorted to putting up signs requesting that tourists "visit us quietly, respect visiting hours and keep the town clean" as a way of tackling the problem.
