Description
Hong Kong leader John Lee slammed 'attacks' on the Hong Kong judicial system, in response to an opinion piece by Jonathan Sumption, one of three overseas judges to announce the departure from Hong Kong's top court over the past week.
In the piece published in the Financial Times, Sumption wrote that "Hong Kong, once a vibrant and politically diverse community is slowly becoming a totalitarian state," adding that local judges were caught "in an impossible political environment created by China". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
