United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres describes the consequences of the ongoing war in Gaza as "a unique level of destruction and a unique level of casualties in the Palestinian population (..) that has no precedent in any other situation". Speaking to the pres in Geneva, Guterres refuses to comment on a report revealed today by the Independent Commission of Inquiry on Gaza, which concluded that Israel has committed crimes against humanity during the war in Gaza, including that of "extermination", while adding that both Israeli and Palestinian armed groups have committed war crimes.
