"We are not going to move from here until they give us an answer," says one of around 100 relatives of inmates protesting in Caracas as their loved ones are on hunger strike in Venezuelan jails. The NGO Venezuelan Prison Observatory indicated that the hunger strike, which began on June 9 is being carried out in "19 prisons and more than 30 police jails," amid allegations of corruption, procedural delays, overcrowding and limited access to food.
