Description
The Muslim festival of Tabaski, celebrating Eid-al-Adha, is just around the corner, and with it the tradition of buying new clothes for the occasion. With prices of some of the outfits for women costing up to 381 euros, a small fortune in a country where the average salary is around 82 euros, second-hand shops are flourishing, like that of Seynabou Sarr, one of the pioneers in this area, offering customers fashionable clothes at reasonable prices. "At this time of year, my business really picks up," she says. "I get a lot of enquiries." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
