Veterinarians treat injured animals after hundreds perished in a blaze that roared across the dry landscape, sending flames into the night sky and sweeping through several villages in the mainly Kurdish southeast of Turkey. "A little less than half of the remaining ones will be sent to be slaughtered because it is not possible to cure these animals," says a local veterinarian.
