A day after deadly protests in Nairobi, a major hospital in Kenya's capital, Kenyatta National Hospital, says it has treated 165 patients with a range of injuries. “They are all varied, from blunt trauma to a few gunshot wounds,” says Benjamin Wabwire, Director of surgical services at the hospital. “A majority of them were rubber, and a few, I think just about six live bullets.” The death toll from the protests climbed to 22, a state-funded rights body said, vowing an investigation.
