Description
Robert-Jacques is retired and voted far-right RN by tradition. Others like him, en masse, chose the far-right in France's early parliamentary elections and, in the first round, toppled an entire constituency that had voted red for 60 years. The seat of MP had been held by the French Communist party without interruption since 1962, but its leader Fabien Roussel was soundly defeated, with 31.19% of the vote against 50.30% for the National Rally.
