In the market square of Chateauneuf-en-Thymerais in northern France, the two candidates in the second round of the general election in the 2nd constituency of Eure-et-Loir are canvassing their voters, avoiding crossing paths. It looks like a tight race. The far-right National Rally (RN) candidate, Olivier Dubois, was well ahead in the first round (38.33%), but his opponent, the conservative Republicans (LR) candidate, Olivier Marleix, can hope to win back the votes of the Socialist candidate who withdrew in the run-off.
