Description
With two days to go to the second round of the legislative elections, members of the LGBT community are expressing their concern at the prospect of the Rassemblement National taking over the government. "Transphobia was already present, but now I'm afraid it's going to be unleashed in all directions and there will be more and more attacks," says Lua, a 37-year-old transgender woman living in Marseille. "We know that in any case, even if they try to say it's not true, they're obviously transphobic. So it's very, very serious", emphasised Stéphane Bernard, organiser of the Marseille Pride, which will be held this Saturday under the slogan of the fight against the extreme right. According to the French Ministry of the Interior, the number of attacks on LGBTQ+ people in France increased by 13% in 2023 compared with 2022. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
