"I wouldn't have wanted to leave without voting, no, I've given my proxy, it's done!" says a retired woman, suitcase in hand. On this first weekend of the summer holidays, 1.2 million passengers are expected to take the trains. Passengers who have apparently given their proxy for the second round of the French general elections, even if some admit that "it wasn't the right time, not before the holidays, not before we went to get some rest". "What we're seeing is that there are people who have postponed their holidays, but they're still going on holiday," says Alain Krakovitch, Director of TGV-Intercites. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
