Colombia's most powerful living ex-paramilitary leader, Salvatore Mancuso, holds a press conference in Bogota one day after his release from prison. The justice system granted him freedom after his deportation from a US prison in February.
"My work starts today," he says during the press conference, during which he asks for forgiveness from the victims of the armed conflict in the country and discusses his new role as a peace manager for President Gustavo Petro's government. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
