China says the fundamentals of the economy 'continue to improve' after posting lower than expected growth in the second quarter, with all eyes on top officials' in Beijing.
'I would like to emphasize that the fundamentals of the Chinese economy continue to improve, and the positive factors driving economic recovery have accumulated and strengthened,'says Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a briefing. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
