Description
Medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) calls on all warring parties to stop "all targeted forms of violence and abuse" against the people of Sudan. "People's accounts describe forced evictions, looting and arson, degrading interrogation, arbitrary arrest, abduction, and torture on a systematic level", says MSF Netherlands General Director Vickie Hawkins during a press conference in Amman.
The conflict between the regular army under Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, led by his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, has left tens of thousands dead and forced more than 10 million from their homes, according to the United Nations. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
