Description
Environmental campaign group Friends of the Earth and two men whose lives have been affected by rising temperatures gather outside the High Court in London, where they are bringing an unprecedented legal challenge against the UK government over its alleged failure to protect people, property and infrastructure from the likely effects of climate change. The claiments argue that the state's National Adaptation Programme is inadequate and unlawful. "They've got it badly wrong," says Kevin Jordan, one of the claimants, who saw his seaside home demolished because of coastal erosion without receiving state compension. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
