Description
Viktor Pershikov, a cryptocurrency market analyst, says that Russia’s draft cryptomining bill is directly aimed at “taking cryptocurrency mining out of the gray zone". Speaking via video call, he says “it is not aimed at ordinary people - not at those who mine from home”, but at "large, well-known companies". Russia is one of the world's largest crypto miners, although President Vladimir Putin has expressed scepticism over the value of digital currencies and the huge energy demands generated by its mining.
