Description
A group of Kenyans march in the capital Nairobi in memory of people who died in the recent anti-government protests, one month after the day when demonstrations turned particularly violent. Chanting "stop killing us", wearing white t-shirts and surrounded by police, some of the group of around 50, which included relatives of some of those who died in the protests, carry white crucifixes bearing the names of those who died in the demonstrations in red paint and others hold photos of the victims. On June 25, protesters stormed and torched a section of the Parliament and police fired live bullets at demonstrators. At least 50 people have been killed and more than 400 wounded since the start of the protests on June 18, according to the state-funded Kenya National Commission on Human Rights. IMAGES
