Thousands of supporters of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro gather in Caracas for his final rally. Many of them carried emblems of Maduro's alter-ego persona, the anti-imperialist superhero Super-Bigote (Super Moustache) and puppets of the fighting cock "Gallo Pinto," to highlight his vigour in comparison to 74-year-old opposition challenger Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia. Dressed in red, many of them had travelled from across the country to attend the event ahead of the July 28 presidential election in which the former bus driver is seeking a third six-year term.
