Description
Venezuelan authorities prevented a group of Latin American former presidents critical of Nicolas Maduro's government from traveling to Caracas, as they intended to observe the elections scheduled for July 28 in the country. Flight CM-223 of the Panamanian airline Copa Airlines, which was carrying four former heads of state to Venezuela, was unable to take off from Tocumen Airport "as there was an order that we, the presidents and the vice president, had to leave the plane," says former president of Panama Mireya Moscoso during a joint press conference held in Panama City with the former presidents.
