A huge fire has devastated a small shantytown in the vegetation of Ponte Mammolo, northeast of Rome, also involving a hotel from which around twenty guests were evacuated as a precaution. Dozens of firefighters intervene while the police have blocked all access to the area. A dense smoke plume, visible from all over Rome, rises hundreds of metres into the sky.
