Description
Lawyers denounce they have been denied access to assist those arrested during the protests against the re-election of leftist President Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela. In front of a detention center in Caracas known as "Zona 7," dozens of family members wait in line to get inside to give food and water to their loved ones. "The only thing I ask Maduro is to release the innocent people, stop incarcerating them for 30 years," says the mother of a college stundet arrested during the protests.
Attorney General Tarek William Saab said more than 1,000 people were arrested during protests that erupted in the aftermath of the elections. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
