A colourful crowd cheers the competitors of the triathlon mixed relay in Paris 2024 held in the Seine River as the organisers decided to go on after considering the water quality had improved and the prospective tests indicated it will be within the acceptable limits according to World Triathlon. "If there's a risk of bad water quality, the course should be held somewhere else," says Marieke Beke, 23, a Belgian fan who is disappointed because her country’s team dropped out of the race as one of their athletes fell sick after participating in the women’s race last week.
