ACC Lindsey Butterfield from South Yorkshire police says violence that broke out yesterday, on Sunday 4 August, in Rotherham was a "disgusting display of thuggery". She says 12 police officers have been injured, and six people arrested. The unrest follows last Monday's tragedy in Southport in which three young girls were killed and five more children critically injured during a knife attack as they attended a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.
