One of the first trains carrying evacuees from Russia's Kursk region arrives in Moscow as Ukraine has mounted a major ground offensive. The Ukrainian army has been pressing into the Kursk region in what appears to be its most serious offensive on Russian soil since the conflict began in 2022. Authorities have organised additional trains out of the Kursk region to cope with the outflux of evacuees, reported to number in their thousands.
