Eight people including two children have been killed by mountains of garbage collapsing at a landfill in the Ugandan capital Kampala, the city authority has said. Local media says homes, people and livestock animals were engulfed in the landslide at the vast garbage dump in Kiteezi, a district in the north of Kampala, after heavy rainfall.
