This year's Flower Carpet in the main square of Brussels is designed by a street artist as a shake-up to the traditional event. Made up of 500,000 flowers, this gigantic 70 x 24-metre carpet took shape on Thursday, thanks to the help of dozens of volunteers who worked for hours in the bright sunshine. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
