Every year, the streets of Hong Kong come alive with the sights and sounds of the Hungry Ghost Festival. Celebrated in various East and Southeast Asian countries, it falls on the 15th day of the Chinese lunar calendar’s seventh month and sees locals honouring their ancestors with vibrant rituals and offerings. "Nowadays, we do it to remind us that we have to love our parents, we have to celebrate it to remember the love by our families", says Lok Chung, the director of a funeral home organising events for Hungry Ghost Festival.
