The Palestinian Authority's Health Minister, Majed Abu Ramadan, reports in Ramallah of a first case of polio, affecting '"a ten-month-old child', in the town of Deir al-Balah, in the centre of the Gaza Strip. 'The presence of one positive case means that there may be hundreds of other undetected cases', he added. For its part, the UN is calling for 'humanitarian pauses' to vaccinate children.
