"I hope that next week we'll be able to see the vaccines arrive," says Samuel-Roger Kamba, Health Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where cases of the mpox virus are on rising. DRC has registered 16,700 cases of mpox and "a little more than 570 deaths," Kamba explains, adding that the country is awaiting vaccines to arrive from Belgium, Japan and the United States.
