Indonesian authorities are searching for a 14-year-old French teenager who disappeared eight days ago during a trek on Mount Batukaru in Bali.
The teenager, named Thibault, on vacation in Bali with his mother and two brothers, had climbed Mount Batukaru, one of the two highest peaks on the island.
"The challenges that we have been facing after eight days of searching are mainly to do with the terrain. Since it's a mountainous area, there are many steep terrains, and then the weather can be foggy and raining," says chief rescuer I Wayan Suwena. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
