People from a northeastern Nigerian village share accounts of the devastation wrought by suspected Boko Haram jihadists in an attack which killed at least 81 people. "They burnt our houses, killed our people, and killed our men," says Salma Ali, who like a number of others who managed to escape the attack, was taking refuge in nearby Babban Gida. "Still, there are dead bodies there in Mafa village that are yet to be recovered while those dispersed into the bush are there left with various degrees of injury and nobody can go to their aid," says Mohammed Abubakar, another who escaped.
