Description
The foreign ministers of China, Senegal and Congo-Brazzaville hail the relationship between the Asian giant and the African continent at a press conference during a triennial summit. "All sides agreed that the summit was a complete success," says Wang Yi.
China, the world's number two economy, is Africa's largest trading partner and African leaders have secured a plethora of deals this week during the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) for greater cooperation in infrastructure, agriculture, mining, trade and energy.
"Never before in living memory of an African has economic and commercial cooperation between a foreign country and our continent been so prosperous, so exemplary, so promising," said Congo-Brazzaville's Foreign Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
