In Vienna, 45 mobile classrooms were built over the summer to accomodate the educational needs of the growing number of child refugees from countries such as Ukraine and Syria: "Last year alone, four and a half thousand new pupils arrived in Vienna during the course of the school year, largely as a result of family reunification, for example Syrian children whose parents have also been granted asylum in Austria," says Christoph Wiederkehr, Vienna's deputy mayor, in charge of education.
