Description
Prime Minister Keir Starmer pledges to reset industrial relations strained by widespread strike action, as he becomes the first UK leader to address the annual meeting of Britain's trade unions in 15 years. "I call now, as before the election, for the politics of partnership. With us in government, with business and most importantly of all, with working people," he tells delegates in Brighton. However, the Labour leader warns that decisions on pay would be shaped by "tough decisions" needed to protect the public finances. "This government will not risk its mandate for economic stability under any circumstances," he says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
