Description
Firefighters, military personnel, and rescue workers continue to combat the fires that started in the Brasilia National Park, a nature reserve located just outside the capital, on the morning of September 15. Around 700 hectares are still burning. Some neighborhoods near the flames on the outskirts of Brasilia had to use buckets of water to prevent the flames from burning their homes. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
