Description
In Verfeil, southwestern France, the gendarmerie clears the ZAD (ed: Zone to defend) land blockade set up on the land occupied by tenants who were forced to leave their home to allow for the construction of the A69 motorway between Toulouse and Castres. The last remaining family, who had been the subject of several attempts at intimidation, handed over their keys, with around thirty protesters still occupying the site, in tree houses and on the roof of the house.
