More than 500 winegrowers and cognac producers are demonstrating against the threat of Chinese surcharges on European wine spirits, refusing to bear the brunt of the tug-of-war between Brussels and Beijing over electric cars. 'Behind all of this are contracts, production, a terroir, vines, and our lives are being affected', explains one winegrower.
