Members of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Social Democrats (SPD) party clap and cheer in the state of Brandenburg after exit polls show their party holds a narrow lead over the far-right party AfD party in regional elections. "I'm glad," says Dietmar Woidke, the SPD's popular state premier in Brandenburg, the region which surrounds Berlin.
