Heavy winds and rain batter a beach resort in western Oaxaca as Hurricane John approaches Mexico's Pacific coast as a Category 2 storm. The storm's eye wall is "very near" the coast of southern Mexico and is forecast to make landfall late September 23 or early September 24, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
