French Christian NGO SOS Chrétiens d'Orient says it is mobilised in Lebanon to assist some 177 centres which have sprung up across the country to help the displaced, as Israel continues to batter the country in its relentless pursuit of Hezbollah operatives. "The people in these centres lack everything, because there are no mattresses, no pillows, etc. So for the moment, it's just a question of survival," says the group's director Benjamin Blanchard.
