Three members of a Serb paramilitary commando appear before a special court in Pristina, Kosovo's capital, a year after they attacked Kosovp police, killing one of its members, before taking refuge in the Banjska monastery, in the northern part of the country. At this first hearing, the judge accepted the defence's request to postpone until 9 October the reading of the indictment, which formally marks the start of a trial, because the indictees had not obtained the text from the public prosecutor's office and had not been able to prepare for the trial.
