UNICEF volunteers distribute aid packages and mattresses to displaced people who fled Israeli bombardment of south Lebanon and took shelter in a school in Sidon. "Today we will be able to distribute (aid, ed.) to around 1,000 people, that's around 200 families, and we hope to continue this distribution," says UNICEF representative in Lebanon Edouard Beigbeder. Human Rights Watch has warned that Israeli strikes on Lebanon were putting civilians "at grave risk", urging an international investigation into hostilities in the country and in northern Israel.
