Description
Denmark’s king Frederik X laid the foundation stone for the rebuilding of the Old Stock Exchange five months after the fire that damaged over half of the historic building on 16 April. Located close to Denmark's Christiansborg parliament and seat of government, the Borsen building was undergoing renovations ahead of its 400th anniversary when the fire broke. Copenhagen police has launched a major investigation into the blaze.
Weighing 60 kilos, the foundation stone was pushed over a "time capsule" with words of famous Danes like the Prime minister Mette Frederiksen or the King himself, that is not to be opened before 2124. IMAGES
