Hundreds of Young Peruvians march in the streets of Lima to mark International Safe Abortion Day and to call for access to abortion rights, which are practically non-existant in the country. Abortion has been legal in Peru for 100 years only in cases where the procedure is necessary to preserve the life or health of the pregnant woman. "To be able to get one (therapeutic abortion, ed) you have to have a medical review and to have the medical review accepted and it can take weeks, it can take months and that's what makes it difficult for us," says one protester.
