Description
Speaking at a press conference in London following a meeting with the UK prime minister and foreign secretary, relatives of British-linked citizens lament the fact that their relatives remain in captivity in Gaza nearly a year on from their kidnap by Hamas gunmen on October 7, 2023. With no deal yet reached on the release of the remaining hostages, some of the relatives fear an Israeli ground incursion into Lebanon could move the focus away from the release of the Gaza hostages. Sharone Lifschitz, whose father is captive in Gaza, says "if there's a ground incursion, they've been telling us that nothing will happen for two weeks or three weeks or five weeks. So we are in a losing battle." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
