Description
People fleeing the war in Lebanon board the 'Med Lines' ship at Tripoli port bound for Mersin on the Turkish Mediterranean coast, as most of the flights at Beirut airport were suspended amid continuous Israeli strikes. "We cannot replace the airport, but we cover about 20 or 15 percent [of traffic], based on the available ships. There are three trips per week, which transport about 1,200 or 1,500 passengers," says the owner of the ship. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
