Propstore, an English auction house, is hosting one of the world's largest sales of film and TV memorabilia, featuring over 1,800 rare items. The on-screen items up for grabs include Maximus’ (Russell Crowe) helmet from ‘Gladiator’ and a screen-matched Sand Trooper helmet from ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’. Maximus’ helmet is estimated to sell for 100,000 - 200,000 pounds alone. CEO and founder of Propstore, Stephen Lane, says that new collectors are increasingly entering the market, driven by nostalgia and "trying to revisit a moment from perhaps their youth."
